The NJV’s rehabilitation action programme, implemented with the active involvement of landowners and government continues to be successful and effective. Under the programme, all disturbed surface areas are rehabilitated after exploration activity is completed.
This is a staged process and generally involves returning the disturbed surface area to a stable re-vegetated site. Landowners are actively involved in the development and implementation of the Rehabilitation Action Plan and monitor progress.
An example is the well known NVD 40 drill site which is now thriving with vegetation after successful rehabilitation. NJV has now completed all the historical rehabilitation work and will continuosly monitor growth.
